Job Summary: Provides direct and indirect care in the inpatient setting. Communicates with physicians, DON, Therapy Dept., and co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties with adequate supervision.
“Regulatory Requirements: Current Louisiana Registered Nurse Licensure.
Certification in Rehabilitation Nursing preferred.
Current BCLS certification, ACLS Preferred.
“Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional language fluency preferred.
Skills: Basic computer knowledge.
Physical Demands: Requires intermittent standing, walking, bending, crouching and sitting. Requires stooping and lifting up to 20 pounds, occassionally 40lbs. Requires reaching, handling, fingering and repetitive motions including computer keyboard strokes. Requires constant hearing and constant vision.
